Karen Joubert Cordier

Karen Joubert Cordier is a French-American artist born in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1954.
After completing her studies at the Charpentier Academy in Paris, she began painting in 1981.
Her talent was immediately noticed by the famous art critic and collector Daniel Cordier. Her imaginary forests were first exhibited at the Beaubourg Gallery in Paris and then housed in a permanent exhibition at the Georges Pompidou Centre.
Always inspired by the naturalistic element, she develops her expressive poetics in this direction, contaminating it in her most recent period with figurative narratives that mix pop art and aspects typical of comics.
